The machine's v-base automatically centers the keymill on the shaft, keeping the keyway exactly parallel with the shafts center line.  Keyways up to 1 1/2" wide on shafts up to 10 1/2" diameter can be machined.  Various sizes of slots on flat surfaces can also be machined.
